I am a legal practitioner with over 25 years' post-qualification experience, specialising in international trade law and intellectual property. Throughout my career, I have advised businesses, investors, and trading entities on complex cross-border transactions, risk management, trade finance, and commercial regulatory matters.

My professional practice has involved the delivery of comprehensive trade and risk assessments for clients seeking to establish and expand commercial operations across international markets. Notably, I conducted a detailed trade and risk assessment for a European Union-based client intending to engage in agricultural trade within Africa, resulting in the successful execution of a trade contract valued at approximately USD $2 million for the importation of farm produce.

I have also successfully assisted clients in securing trade finance instruments, including bonds, guarantees, and standby letters of credit, facilitating the completion of international commercial transactions while mitigating financial and performance risks. In addition, I have worked closely with export credit agencies in relation to export credit insurance, helping clients obtain appropriate protection against commercial and political risks associated with international trade.
